The Transformation Behind Our Work
Thompson’s growth did not happen because of one big idea, one funding opportunity, or one perfect strategic plan. It happened through steady, disciplined work through seasons of external challenges including COVID19 pandemic, the Social Justice Movement, the Great Resignation, presidential administration changes that shifted federal and state funding, and more.
The organization had a strong mission and deeply committed people. What it needed was the infrastructure to carry that mission further. Under the leadership of CEO Will Jones and the broader Thompson team, the organization strengthened its financial discipline, operating rhythms, leadership culture, program models, and ability to grow without losing sight of the people it serves.
That lived experience now shapes Thompson Impact Consulting. When we support leaders through strategy, alignment, leadership development, or execution, we are not offering a borrowed framework. We are sharing what has been tested in real operating environments, refined through trial and error, and shaped by the realities of human services work.
